Traveling

Gracie and Grams

Grace is finally getting hair!

Two weeks ago, we went to Chelsea to stay with Grams (Gracie's great-grandma) for a night because Matt had to wrap up some things at Xelapack before his last day. Then, it was on to Grand Rapids for the weekend to visit Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Megan. We took Grace to the zoo and were able to take her to meet Maddy, our friends Mike & Erin's little girl. We had a great time with everyone!

Then, last Wednesday, we headed back to Grand Rapids so Grandma & Grandpa could baby sit for the night and Matt & I went to Chicago. It was easier than I thought, but that was only because I knew Grace was in good hands (and we were only away one night). We left on Thursday morning, went to the Field Museum, checked in to our hotel, then shopped a little, went to a wonderful dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe (thanks for the recommendation Mike)! After dinner we went to see Wicked - it was INCREDIBLE!!! The best part was I was able to sleep all night and sleep in (sorry mom). Then the next morning we went to breakfast, and on to the Shedd Aquarium, which was really cool. Grace did great and we really appreciate Grandma and Grandpa watching her. Thanks again Mom & Dad!!

Our little fish!

It was a beautiful day again yesterday. In the upper 80's and sunny. We took the top off the jeep and went over to nonnie and papas for a few hours. It was a sight to see; Samson in the passenger seat and Gracie and I in the back. She slept the whole way, so I guess she didn't mind it. We attempted to go for a boat ride, but Grace wasn't having her life jacket. So we just went back and decided to go swimming. The water was a little on the cool side, but again, Grace didn't seem to mind. We were only in the water for about 10 minutes but she was splashing and laughing. She's going to be our little fish this summer I think!
