Big weekend

Sorry it has been so long since I last updated the blog. We were out of town since last Wednesday and this is the first chance I've had to get on the computer again. Matt had a business meeting in Saline so we ventured to Chelsea to spend some time with Grace's Great-Grandma Helen. Grace and I had a great time with her and all the other family and friends we were able to visit with. Then, we headed to Grand Rapids for Grace's baptism. It was in the church where Matt and I were married, so that was pretty cool. We really appreciate the many family members who traveled the distance to be with us on Grace's special day. Thanks again!! I'll post a few pictures, since we are still waiting to get some more from everyone else. Grace is a great little traveler and really getting around! Take care!!!

O, Christmas Tree

We picked out our Christmas tree yesterday and put it up. It is a great tree. We started decorating it last night until it got late and Grace became a little fussy. I was able to finish it up today. The house is all decorated now except for the Christmas village. I suppose we'll have to get to that next week. I'll post a few extra pictures for everyone to check out.

Hot Date

Today Matt & I had our first hot date since Grace's arrival. Grandma and Grandpa babysat for us for a few hours so that we could go see the new Bond movie, Casino Royal. It was awesome- I highly recommend it!! We also picked out a baptism outfit for Grace and ran to Kmart to get a few things. She was great for Grandma and Grandpa and took a bottle just fine. Last night we went to Cathy and Mike's house for dinner and watched Gabby for Karen. The kids just love their new baby cousin!

One of those days

Do you ever have one of those days where you don't get anything done? That was me today. I was still in my robe at about 2:00 this afternoon. Just as I suspected, Grace had a hard time sleeping last night, probably because she slept ALL DAY yesterday! I was up with her until about 2:30am when she finally fell asleep, then she was up again at 5:00 and 7:00. Needless to say we have all been a little tired today. She was awake quite a bit today (and a little on the fussy side)so hopefully she will sleep better tonight. We tried taking a few pictures of Grace for Christmas cards, they turned out ok but we'll try a few more once we get our tree this weekend. Have a good one!

Goodnight Gracie

Grace had a big day today. I took her to Gaylord to visit my coworkers and she did a great job! They couldn't believe how well behaved she was (she slept the entire time). She even had her first trip shopping trip to Old Navy with me. She has been a little sleepyhead all night tonight too- I'm a little worried that she will be up all night, but we'll see! Matt's changing her right now and then we're headed up tp bed. Goodnight!
